FreeLearn to Crochet/Knit Science Data
Saturday, October 29, 10 – 11 AM
Laura Guertin, Ph.D., Featured Artist and Distinguished Professor of Earth Sciences, Penn State Brandywine
Rainfall and snowfall and temperature, oh my! Join Dr. Laura Guertin to explore how to crochet science data using examples from her exhibition, Stitching Climate Science & Solutions. Learn where the data comes from and how to search for data that has meaning to you. Connect with others through a stitching circle – bring your own yarn to either crochet or knit and we’ll provide a data set to start with.
All levels welcome. Participants will need to have/bring with them:
- The ability to do the basic stitches for either crochet or knitting
- Their own crochet hooks or knitting needles
- 3-4 different colors of yarn
