In 2024, landscape architect David Hughes bought a 4.3-acre property with the dream of turning the severely degraded landscape into a protected haven he could share with native plants, insects, and animals. Dive into the lessons learned in transitioning Weatherwood Ridge Reserve from a suburban property, with mostly wet lawn and significantly pest-denuded woodland, to a lush oasis teeming with wildlife.
