SUMMARY:Putting Plants to Work
DESCRIPTION:Discover how to manage stormwater with your home landscape\n\n\nPutting Plants to Work \n \nThursday\, January 20\, 7:00 – 8:30 pm \n \nPresented by Jeff Lorenz\, Founder\, Refugia Design/Build\n \n \nManaging stormwater runoff is one of the more common issues presented by homeowners seeking a reimagining of their landscape. How can we get creative with design and materials to create a beautiful and multi-tasking outdoor space? Reducing lawn\, establishing deep-rooted plantings\, and integrating permeable hardscaping is key to reducing neighborhood erosion\, filtering pollutants\, and absorbing dirty water before it enters our precious waterways. Join ecological landscape designer Jeff Lorenz of Narberth-based Refugia Design/Build for expert tips and insight on creating native habitat that is immersive\, functional\, and resilient.\n \n \nFree of charge; registration is required.\n \n \nThis lecture is a part of our monthly Third Thursday Lecture Series. All lectures will be held virtually and a link will be emailed to registered participants prior to each program date.
