However\, butterflies need more than just flowers and nectar – they also need overwintering sites\, host plants\, and shelter. Luckily\, with some work\, our gardens can provide these! Join naturalist and horticulturist Sam Nestory to learn about common and not-so-common butterfly species found in southeastern Pennsylvania and how you can transform your garden to support these beautiful insects.\n \nFree of charge; registration is required.  \n \nThis lecture is a part of our monthly Third Thursday Lecture Series. Our practice will consist of gentle stretching and strengthening exercises done slowly with moment-to-moment awareness of breath and sensations that arise as we move from pose to pose.  \nAll levels welcome; modifications and variations will be offered. Participants may find yoga blocks and straps beneficial for your practice.  \nMindful Yoga classes will be virtual until we are able to safely bring our practice in-person indoors.  \nMembers: $72 for 6-week series \nNon-Members: $102 for 6-week series

DESCRIPTION:Discover Pennsylvania’s special plant species\n\n\nPA’s Rare\, Threatened and Endangered Plants and the Unique Habitats They Live In\n \nThursday\, July 21\, 7:00 – 8:30 pm\n \nPresented by Cheyenne Moore\, Plant Conservation Network Coordinator\, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources\n \n \nPennsylvania is home to over 3\,000 plant species\, and among them are hundreds of rare\, threatened\, and endangered species. Explore how we determine what species fit into each of those categories. Many of Pennsylvania’s rare\, threatened\, and endangered species are associated with specialized habitats like waterways\, rocky slopes\, or wetlands that aren’t that common in the state. Join Cheyenne Moore to discover some of the state’s unique habitat types and the rare plants that live in them.\n \nFree of charge; registration is required.  \nThis lecture is a part of our monthly Third Thursday Lecture Series.
